                                                           Cute and Adorable

You look at me and I look at you. And you are dead.
What happens when a group of (in)humans do this simultaneously?

You will get this. A pool of bloody snow

A close-up. And you wonder how this seal feels.

I got so disturbed by reading The Star this morning. Canada host the largest mammal hunt in the world by sealing (hunting seals). And it is done brutally. Describe my feelings? 80% disturbed, 10% frustrated and 10% pissed off. I just can't imagine how someone can take up the club and literally club seals to death. They say that it is to control the seal population. I understand that but isn't there a better way to deal with this? The Canada government is nurturing murderers and they will be damned..

Oh yea I finally managed  to catch this movie before it goes out from the movie list in cinemas. After hearing quite a number of negative reviews , I was quite doubtful whether I should spend some dough watching it. I glad I did. My belief is that I cannot say that a movie is bad until I watched it myself.

I notice that all the ads in the papers did not mention who was the lead actor @ Jumper in this flick. Maybe it is because the story itself is fascinating enough that it does not matter who acts in it. Hayden Christensen from the Star Wars is back! And somehow he still looks very Anakin to me (minus that horrible stubble under his lips!) . Seeing him reminds me of Natalie Portman and Obi-wan Kenobi calling 'Anakin!!' Acting wise, just right for me. No change is a good thing? Who knows.

---> Watcha looking at?!

Jumper managed to capture my attention and I think it is entertaining enough just to jump around the world and enjoy the scene. The story is very straightforward and any Tom, Dick and Harry will be able to comprehend. Just don't expect the movie to explain why they have the power to 'jump' and why Samuel. L. Jackson's hair is white.

---> that white hair of his is just so.... grey. Isn't the the guy with the purple lightsaber?

--> he's the bad guy trying to kill the Jumpers with that stick. I wonder why they dun carry guns.

--> Catch me if you can.

Ratings: 8.0 for giving me no major headaches and a valuable quote: "if you don't tell me everything it's fine. Just don't lie to me" Please jump to your nearest cinema to catch it!

Yawnnn... yawning all the way home. Half a day used up for St. John Amb and only got 4 hours of sleep. Too much excitement and anxiety over 1st day of class. I was quite eager to see this year's batch of juniors coming in and hey, the class I am with was not bad man. It confirms my theory of 'kids nowadays are getting mini-sized' , just like tech gadgets are getting microscopic lately.

Most of them are quite cooperative although there are ought to be a few rascal and hyperactive guys and gals. Suspect ADD?  It is good that they gave SOME response although not many are too enthusiastic. Maybe because it was the way I presented it? I have actually tried to improve my communication style and I think it kinda worked. Not too much but I am positive that at least it was better than last time. Too bad the OHP was available and they almost died of boredom. Kesian.

If you ask me what was the best thing I can benefit from being called a 'teacher', (a junior actually called me that..makes me feel abit old and wonder if my hair has turned silver). I think it is by getting them to laugh and response to the questions that I posed to them that makes me grin happily. Moreover I can have the stage by myself to practise my 'not so public' speaking.

Few years has gone by since the day I joined and it makes me wonder where others went. Or maybe I am the only one still stucked with the perception that I can do good by voulnteering my time, money and effort in helping other directly or indirectly. As long as I am willing and able, I must do my best to keep this division that we started from scratch alive and rolling because I just can't bear to see it collapse.

Add-on: Some of the kids are real cute. You can't whack them, can you? Kids nowadays haih. SHould I post this on YahooGroups? Wonder if Quek will give me a kick in the butt for contaminating her site.

6 Things That Make Me One Of A Kind

1. I get sudden cravings for fast food and desserts once in a blue moon. KFC, McD, Dunkin Doughnuts, gelato..you name it.. and I still managed to stay slim and fit.

2. I love girls (and guys) who can cook up a storm. 所谓入得厨房,出得厅堂 (广东话)。

3. I can't sleep well without my bolster. Life partners.

4. I will get violent when I see a cockroach invading my room. Death sentence for the bug!

5. My mum actually did not intend to name me King Hao.

6. I was born dangerously prematurely but I grew up just fine.
